A sunny day can make traditional synthetic turf infill extremely hot, and that’s not good for player comfort, performance, or safety. Elastomer coated sand absorbs far less heat than traditional infill, and cools down faster, keeping playing conditions safer and more comfortable.

Testing has shown that FlexSand^® Action can reduce field surface temperature by as much as 36° F, and on average, keeps fields 20° F cooler.

Traditional infill also loses flexibility and elasticity when exposed to sunlight. FlexSand Action is UV resistant, and retains its shock absorption performance characteristics after exposure to the elements.
